FRACTIONAL CMO

Senior leadership.
Part-time.

I lead your marketing the way an in-house CMO would, on a schedule and budget that fit a growing business. Everything on this page is part of that one role.

THE ROLE

Fractional CMO

One person accountable for your marketing, on a scope that fits.

I take ownership of the marketing plan, the budget, and the people and vendors carrying it out, and I report to you on what it’s producing.

Most engagements start with an assessment, then settle into a regular rhythm of planning, coordination, and review. The areas below are where that time goes.

  • Marketing assessment and a written roadmap
  • Who you sell to, what you offer, and why customers pick you
  • Budget and channel decisions
  • Direction for your staff, agencies, and freelancers
  • A regular review of activity, inquiries, and results

Built for owners who need an experienced marketing executive but not a full-time salary.

AREA 01 / THE BUSINESS

Business &
growth analysis

Know what deserves money and attention before spending more.

I look at the business behind the marketing: what you sell, who buys it, why they choose you, and where sales are leaking.

  • How customers find you, contact you, and decide
  • Your offer and how it compares locally
  • Where marketing and operations get in each other’s way
  • Priorities for a launch or a repositioning
  • A short, ranked list of recommended next steps

Often the first month of an engagement. It also stands on its own for an owner who wants an outside opinion.

AREA 02 / THE WEBSITE

Websites &
messaging

A site that explains what you do and makes it easy to reach you.

Most small business websites describe the company. The good ones answer the customer’s questions and make the next step obvious.

  • Site structure and page planning
  • Service, product, and audience messaging
  • Mobile experience and contact forms
  • Landing pages and service-area pages
  • Managing design, writing, and development

Hands-on website work can be delivered through RTH Marketing as part of the agreed scope.

AREA 03 / GETTING FOUND

Search &
customer acquisition

Spend where your customers actually look.

I pick channels on purpose, match them to the offer, and set up tracking so we know which ones bring in inquiries.

  • Search and local visibility
  • Paid campaign strategy and oversight
  • Content and landing pages that match the ads
  • Lead source and conversion tracking
  • Budget decisions and campaign reviews

Results depend on your market, offer, budget, and execution. We agree on what to track and let it guide the next decision.

AREA 04 / AFTER THE INQUIRY

Customer follow-up
& retention

The sale is often won or lost after the phone rings.

An inquiry that waits two days is often a lost customer. How fast you answer, schedule, and follow up deserves as much attention as the ad that brought them in.

  • How inquiries get answered and routed
  • Scheduling and customer communication
  • CRM setup and follow-up routines
  • Review requests and repeat business
  • Phone and receptionist tools where they fit

Tools such as LokaVox may be considered when they fit the business and the agreed scope.

AREA 05 / THE SYSTEMS

Marketing systems
& technology

Tools that save your team time instead of adding to it.

Because I build software, I can tell when a marketing problem is really a systems problem, and I can talk to the people who fix it.

  • A review of your current tools and workflows
  • Choosing tools based on the job, not the trend
  • Website, CRM, and phone systems that share information
  • Reporting you can read in five minutes
  • Implementation plans for your technical team

My software and product experience helps turn business goals into instructions a developer can build from.

HOW ENGAGEMENTS USUALLY LOOK

Start small. Keep what works.

We set the scope, responsibilities, and fees after I understand the business. These are the usual starting points.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What owners
usually ask.

What does a fractional CMO do?

The same job as a full-time chief marketing officer, for part of the week. I set the marketing direction, manage the people and vendors doing the work, and connect marketing decisions to the business numbers.

Can you work with my current team or agency?

Yes, and that’s common. I give your current team or providers one plan, shared priorities, and a regular review. We agree on who does what at the start.

Do you also do the hands-on work?

When it fits the scope, hands-on website and marketing work can be delivered through RTH Marketing. We spell out what I lead, what your team handles, and who else is involved.

Do I have to switch tools or platforms?

No. Your current tools may be fine. Any new tool needs a clear job to do and a realistic plan to set it up.

What does it cost?

It depends on the scope and how involved I am. We start with a conversation and agree on the engagement and fees in writing before any work begins.

START A CONVERSATION

Let’s talk about your marketing.

Tell me where the business is today and what you want to change. The first conversation is about you, not a pitch.
